Nestled away in the sleepy little suburb of Carlingford is a small, unassuming park that is surprisingly an ideal location for a morning coffee, especially on the weekend. With the traditional playground for the kids, a series of walking paths nearby that go through the local bushland and the recent inclusion of workout machines for those of you who want to get the blood flowing early in the morning, there is something for everyone at Ray Park.
The coffee at Rossi's Fresh Grocers is, perhaps a little surprisingly, quite nice and as they open fairly early it is a perfect place to visit before taking a leisurely stroll down to the park. Whilst it was a little run-down in recent years, it has undergone a transformation into a much more enjoyable space, with plenty of room between the kids playground which features a large rope climbing frame and the workout equipment for a range of other activities is you are so inclined. All in all, it is a rather pleasant local park that most people would never know about, but is definitely worth your time if you are in the area.
